Our Community Living Services

Our services are designed to meet your needs in living more independently and accessing the resources of your neighborhood. They are provided on a "drop in" basis, according to a schedule which we will develop with you as part of an individual service plan. The plan outlines the specific services you will receive. Examples of these are:

Our Connections

Our connections help us to help you. Our board members live and work in Northern Virginia, central Virginia, and the District of Columbia. Several experience disability, or have family members who do. All are committed to a high quality of life for the people we serve. ICON board and staff members have a variety of interests and are connected to many local groups.

We are licensed to provide supportive residential and day support services by the Department of Mental Health, Mental Retardation, and Substance Abuse Services of the Commonwealth of Virginia. We are an approved vendor of the Fairfax-Falls Church Community Services Board and have a cooperative agreement with the Fairfax County Park Authority.

Our Fees

We charge an hourly rate for our services, which may be paid by government sources or through personal resources. Many of the individuals we serve are eligible for funds from Northern Virginia Community Services Boards or Medicaid. Regardless of the source of payment, billing is made only for services actually delivered in accordance with your plan.

Applying for Services

The first step is to submit an application. We will then schedule an interview with you to determine whether our services are a good match for your needs. We will be happy to meet with you in your home, at whatever time is convenient for you.

To begin the process, please call Dawn Gipson at 703-548-4048, or e-mail info@iconservices.org.
